Activating Airtel eSIM on iPhone

  I am writing this blog after successfully activating Airtel eSIM on my iPhone SE 2020. I tried 14 times and 13 times I was unsuccessful because no proper instructions were provided by Airtel. I hope it will help everyone who want to convert their Airtel physical sim to eSIM on iPhone.

All the information is already available at above link then what is the point of writing this blog?

There are some steps I followed which are not mentioned on above link provided by Airtel. Steps are as follows-

1. Make sure you use Airtel internet and not Wifi.

2. Make sure you are in good network.

3. After scanning QR code a profile will be created. If eSIM profile itself is not created after scanning QR code then abort the process by sending NESIM to 52212.

4. If QR code is scanned successfully then leave your phone for two hours, don’t use it.

5. Please wait for two hours even after getting this message-> “your eSIM couldn’t be activated, please contact Airtel”.

6. In two hours or less you will see network in eSIM, that’s when your eSIM is activated.

Please note that if your eSIM is not activated even after two hours and network in physical SIM is gone then contact Airtel on 121 or 198.
